This page is here for one purpose: to make clear – I do not believe that weight is, by itself, or even in the aggregate, a metric of health. I simply use weight as an arbitrary line and milestone in my continuing pursuit of better health overall. It is not an end goal – when I hit 160 pounds, I will not quit eating well, stop exercising, and drop all the changes I’ve made – but is rather a point at which I can look and say to myself, “Hey, you’ve done great so far! Your future self will thank you someday.”
So with that said, my (current) goals/intentions are as follows:
- 160 pounds
- Eating one full meal of nothing but greens every day
- Eliminating soda (even sugar-free) from my life
- Daily 30 minutes of active movement – walking up the hill, biking, skateboarding, whatever
